While walking the beach this morning, I encountered an elusive Beach Lion.

It seemed like a perfect thing to create some amusing, special images.

These were made using the multiple exposure feature of the Nikon D500, and an older Nikon Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 AI-s. In my tiny studio, the Beach Lion was propped upon a small black pedestal with a black cloth. The flowers were individual little cuttings, sitting upon the same black cloth. A single Lowepro light was used to light the items.

This is from the second roll exposed on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, 2017. This is the play set near the house. As mentioned previously, a 120 roll of film, in this case Arista EDU 100, will hold four 6 by 17cm images. Medium format film has several sets of numbers printed on the paper backing. When the film is loaded, the film is advanced to a printed number that appears through a little red window. Different brands have markings that, in some cases, are easier to see. The first time using a new brand, the start of the film can be missed - as was the case here. Thus, three images - as I started with the second space. The dark window on the Omniscope made it tough to see the start. Anyway, I was very happy with these images - any of them would have been fine for the WPPD exhibit.

Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day 2017 - The Alternates

For Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, I made seven exposures with the Omniscope. The Omniscope produces four 6 x 17cm (58 x 172mm - approximate size) images on each roll of film, in this case Kodak T-Max. Here are the other three images from the bridge site. Another set of images, from another site, will be scanned later.

It's hard to tell if you don't know about it - there is a faint arcing streak that follows the contour of the sharply curved road - it is the motion blur of a passing car. Look at the peak of the curved roadbed, and follow to the left - a slight white streak.
