Time lapse movie of some 'shrooms. Nikon D500, with the old manual focus Nikkor 35-105 zoom lens. This lens also has a macro ring, making it exceptionally versatile.

This sequence compresses about six hours of time, with one frame taken every minute. Light conditions were changing, and the sequence went past sunset. Two time lapse files were created, due to battery life limitations. Images were taken at one minute intervals, so it was easy to change the battery within the timing. At dusk, I added a single incandescent light source, with a daylight filter. Since the color varied between the two files, it looks best converted to monochrome.

While walking the beach this morning, I encountered an elusive Beach Lion.

These were made using the multiple exposure feature of the Nikon D500, and an older Nikon Micro-NIKKOR 55mm f/2.8 AI-s. In my tiny studio, the Beach Lion was propped upon a small black pedestal with a black cloth. The flowers were individual little cuttings, sitting upon the same black cloth. A single Lowepro light was used to light the items.

This is from the second roll exposed on Worldwide Pinhole Photography Day, 2017. This is the play set near the house. As mentioned previously, a 120 roll of film, in this case Arista EDU 100, will hold four 6 by 17cm images. Medium format film has several sets of numbers printed on the paper backing. When the film is loaded, the film is advanced to a printed number that appears through a little red window. Different brands have markings that, in some cases, are easier to see. The first time using a new brand, the start of the film can be missed - as was the case here. Thus, three images - as I started with the second space. The dark window on the Omniscope made it tough to see the start. Anyway, I was very happy with these images - any of them would have been fine for the WPPD exhibit.
